Corola De Rosa (she/her) is a bisexual, Cuban-American style icon from South Florida. She has an MFA in creative writing and is a Gemini who loves Lady Gaga and System of a Down.
After a hiatus from reading and writing, reading romance novels got Corola back into the swing of things, once again delighting in getting swept up between the pages of books. Soon, she found herself yearning to pen her own romance novel, and so MESSY came into being as Corola’s first foray into the romance genre.
A corolla (or, in Spanish, corola) is the formation of petals around a flower, and in the case of this author, of a rose.

Food always plays an important role in Corola’s favorite romance novels. In between romps, one main character makes sure the other has something to eat to keep their energy up, to keep them satisfied in every way. They cook breakfast for each other. Sometimes, they even share a sensual food moment, licking frosting off of a finger or even a lip.
Corola wrote MESSY because she wanted to see the sensuality of food in romance novels go much further. She was inspired by burlesque performers who sit on cakes and by the sweet sensuality of whipped cream.
MESSY is a bisexual, non-monogamous love story told from three POVs.
Vic, a badass derby babe who works at the trendy local grocery store, was dumped by the guy she thought was the love of her life. After the breakup, she leans into her curiosity about food fetishes and casual group sex to distract herself from her heartbreak.
Gabby is a sunshine-y writer who hates her day job and the capitalist hellscape she lives in. Sheโs been with her college sweetheart, Darius, for seven years, but thanks to gender and sexuality educators on social media, she recently figured out that sheโs bi.
